AM I GETTING A GOOD PAINTING ESTIMATE?
At Richmond Painting, we believe in customer satisfaction. That means getting a quality paint job at a reasonable price. What is a good estimate though? We will examine what kind of estimate you should expect to get.
The pricing varies from state to state but the concept is pretty much the same. It usually depends on the type of paint job, how large or small the area is, the type of materials used, how long the job will take, and any barriers that come into play. For example, a wood surface will likely draw a different estimate than a metal or brick surface. Also, do we have to sand the walls down or take down wallpaper before we start the paint job? That will obviously cost extra.
In Wisconsin, the cost of interior house painting or staining can run anywhere from $42.50 to $62.50 per hour and from $1.88 to $2.98 per square foot while an exterior paint job will likely cost extra. Those can range from $45.00 to $62.50 an hour and from $2.12 to $3.08 per square foot.
Texture painting can range from $35.00 to $72.50 per hour while faux painting is usually the most expensive at $55.00 to $85.00 per hour. Paint removal can range from $25.00 to $40.00 per hour. Once again, these estimates take a lot of different things into accounts such as the types of paint used and even the colors themselves.
